End-Point Assessment - 3 months

What is End-point Assessment? 

At the end of the apprenticeship programme, an assessment tests participants on their knowledge, skills, and behaviours in the occupational standard. The assessment is an opportunity for the apprentice to show an assessor how well they can carry out the role of a digital content creator. The assessment methods include:

  • Project or Campaign Evaluation Report - The apprentice is required to complete a project or campaign evaluation report on a recent project or campaign within the past six months.

  • Professional Discussion - The apprentice will engage in a 60-minute professional discussion with an independent assessor, answering at least 7 questions related to their occupation

  • Presentation - They need to prepare and deliver a presentation to an independent assessor outlining proposed additional or new content for the project or campaign based on the findings of the evaluative report.

The length of the training for the apprenticeship is typically 15 months, and the end-point assessment is around 3 months. The overall grades available from the assessment are:

  • Fail

  • Pass

  • Merit 

  • Distinction 

Once the apprentice has passed the EPA, they will be awarded their apprenticeship certificate.

What are the entry requirements?

  • To enter the programme, apprentices must have at least level 2 in English and Maths. If they lack this qualification, they must obtain it before undergoing the End-Point assessment.

  • Apprentices with an Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP) or a legacy statement must have minimum English and Maths Entry level 3.

  • A BSL qualification can serve as an alternative to the English requirement for individuals whose primary language is British Sign Language (BSL).
