We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager with a proven track record of selling bespoke software solutions to the UK market. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Sales and business development activities in the UK and other European countries
  • Lead generation via cold calling, event participation, and networking activities
  • Presentation of expertise, technology, and products to interested prospects onsite and via web meetings
  • Identification of client use cases that can benefit from the companies solutions
  • Business value and gap analysis and solution design, supported by business consultants and technology professionals
  • Proposal creation and contract negotiation
  • Represent the company effectively with comprehensive knowledge of our software offerings
  • Research client needs and identify how our software solutions address them
  • Achieve company and individual objectives by planning thoroughly, setting personal sales goals, analysing performance data, and making forecasts
  • Develop skills continuously for effective sales tactics to meet revenue objectives

About you:

  • 5+ years professional selling experience, with in depth sales training
  • 5+ years industry experience, specialising in software development and bespoke software services
  • The ability and ambition to work autonomously in a scale-up environment
  • Proven track record of closing £1m of contract value or more annually
  • Understands and has delivered the entire sales process from planning to execution and closing
  • Creative and solution driven to client's needs, pain points, problems and desires
  • Client focused - intent on successful customer service and customer outcomes.
  • A clear understanding of B2B sales
  • Has worked with a CRM, sales process and sales pipeline reporting
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Work effectively with the wider software delivery team, from pre sales to delivery to achieve a common goal
